Peter Dutton’s housing policies look tinged by race
By cutting immigration Dutton would make Australia a smaller place, economically.
Aaron PatrickSenior correspondentOn Friday morning Peter Dutton called into Ben Fordham’s Sydney radio show, a populist program that is the Liberal leader’s natural home in Australia’s largest metropolis.
Dutton had a blunt message – crude almost – calculated to prey upon one of the greatest fears of any person starting their working life in the city, where it will take them 14 years, on average, to raise their first home deposit.
