Migration to hit a record 400k this year amid a surge in students

Australia’s net overseas migration intake will surge to 400,000 this financial year thanks to an influx of international students and working holidaymakers, smashing the forecasts in the October budget.
Friday’s national cabinet meeting discussed the increase in overseas migration, which has occurred after the reopening of Australia’s borders and is putting pressure on Australia’s extremely tight rental market.
