Labor dodges difficult debt decisions

The greatest relief in this budget is there are no new taxes or levies on business and property investors, who were slugged with $8.6 billion in extra taxes last year. But revenue from state taxes is still set to increase by more than $8 billion over the next five years, a 22 per cent rise.
