Future Fund can keep super afloat

Super funds would not have to sell assets to cover withdrawals if the Future Fund were to swap them for its ample liquid cash.

Remember when business leaders called any new regulation "sovereign risk" and told us that all future investment was in danger as a result? Those were the days.

Now governments shut down whole industries and there is barely a peep of complaint. But just because the government does not want to buy equity in failing businesses does not mean that it should be capricious when it comes to other industries asking for some slack.
