Budget 2016: What's your post-budget super strategy?
Wealthy retirees and savers are tipped to replace super contributions with negative gearing and splitting strategies to get around a raft of changes announced in last night's budget.
Treasurer Scott Morrison unveiled several measures last night to reduce how much savers put into superannuation, including a drop in the pre-tax contributions cap to $25,000 and a reduction in the income threshold for contributions taxed at 30 per cent to $250,000. He also introduced a lifetime cap of $500,000.
