A much better perspective is needed on Kevin Rudd’s “nuts” jibe and his fitness to remain as Australian ambassador to the US (“Scavino nomination turns up head on Rudd”).
That comment was made during a panel discussion on the ABC’s Q&A program on October 30, 2017. It was further developed by the panel in a question I put to it on whether Donald Trump’s instability as president cast doubt on his ability to deal with the assertiveness of China and North Korea and whether we should rethink our role in ANZUS to protect our national interest.
