Birmingham's trade plea to US, China
Trade Minister Simon Birmingham will join global colleagues to push the US and China to end their damaging trade war without striking a deal that damages other countries economically.
Making his first overseas trip since being reconfirmed in the trade portfolio. Senator Birmingham also wants the G20 trade ministers meeting in Japan this weekend to shift from canvassing options for reform of the World Trade Organisation to seeking agreement on concrete changes to be implemented.
