Albanese stamps his authority with Setka ousting
Phillip CooreyPolitical editorIn one move on Tuesday, Anthony Albanese asserted his authority over the Labor Party and signalled a different culture to that under Bill Shorten.
Albanese's decision to have the ALP National Executive expel the Party militant unionist John Setka was the most significant such gesture since Kevin Rudd similarly ousted the CFMEU's West Australian assistant state secretary Joe McDonald in 2007.
