Nearly two million workers already enjoy superannuation contribution rates of 12 per cent or more, according to Industry Super Australia analysis based on latest tax data.

Politicians, public servants and academics are among the 18 per cent of employees who would be unaffected if a scheduled rise in the compulsory super guarantee from 9.5 per cent to 12 per cent did not occur.
