The boss of Australia's biggest superannuation fund has urged policymakers to ignore the Grattan Institute's "flawed and ideological" arguments for scrapping further increases to the compulsory retirement savings rate.
Ian Silk, the chief executive of $165 billion AustralianSuper, said detractors had been seeking to undermine the super system since the 1980s but their arguments had always been resoundingly rejected.
