Cheaper dental is welcome but won’t make up for the tax hit on some retirees associated with Labor’s franking credit changes, Plato Investment Management managing director Don Hamson says.

Labor has promised a $2.4 billion pensioner dental plan, which will cut the cost of treatment for up to three million older Australians.
