Budget 2016: Medicare levy indexation frozen for three more years

The federal health budget will take a significant trim with freezes on Medicare rebates, greater number of people without health insurance forced to pay Medicare levies and a crackdown on aged care subsidies.
There is no end in sight for Medicare indexation pauses, which were frozen under the previous Labor government.
