The Nationals dig in as Malcolm Turnbull prepares cabinet reshuffle

The Nationals have secured their five spots in the Turnbull government's cabinet despite calls from Liberals that the junior Coalition partner should lose a place in a ministerial reshuffle that could be announced this week.
The loss of former Nationals leader and NSW Senator Fiona Nash and her replacement by Liberal Jim Molan led to calls from rural Liberal MPs that the Nationals were no longer entitled to five of the 22 cabinet positions.
