Treasury's growth forecasts edge ahead of market: economists

Treasury is taking a slightly more bullish view on economic growth than the market, counting on hitting the 3 per cent level in the next financial year, according to the budget papers.
A pick-up in activity sees growth accelerating from 2.75 per cent in 2017-18 (in-line with the Reserve Bank of Australia's forecast), to 3 per cent for 2018-19 onwards, on a year-average basis.
