Wall St recovers from early swoon as bond rout eases

US equities shook off an opening slide to end the week on a positive note after a sharp sell-off in Treasuries abated on soothing words from two Federal Reserve officials. Volatility, however, persisted amid the continuing chaos of the Trump administration’s trade policy decisions.

At 4pm: Dow +1.6% S&P 500 +1.8% Nasdaq +2.1%
