Tesla more than doubles from early January low

Shares in Tesla leapt higher in New York, extending a stunning rebound in the electric-vehicle maker’s market valuation over the last six weeks.

Tesla was up more than 6 per cent at one point in New York. The stock ended the day up 3 per cent to $US207.32 as overall sentiment weakened; it touched a 52-week low of $US101.81 on January 6. The rally in Tesla has coincided with a fast, albeit far more modest, lift in the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 to start the year.
