The S&P 500 Index reset its record for a fifth day in a row, and pressed ever closer the 6400-point level, in an ongoing rally that appears to be broadening even as valuation flags are being waved.
At the close in New York, the index was 0.4 per cent higher, at 6388.64; it peaked earlier in the session at 6395.82.
