US equities swung from positive to negative and back to finish flat, amid conflicting comments from President Donald Trump about his trade war with China.
In an early morning post on social media, Trump said China had “totally violated” the agreement reached between the two nations weeks ago. Bloomberg then reported that the Trump administration plans to broaden restrictions on China’s tech sector with new regulations to capture subsidiaries of companies under US curbs.
