Relief for motorists as oil price slides to its lowest point this year

Motorists are in line for a reprieve at the petrol bowser after a collapse in the price of oil signalled a return to normal following a rapid increase over the past year.
Brent Crude has sunk more than 7 per cent since Monday, nearing $US72 a barrel – its lowest point so far this year – as signs of weakening global growth in China and the US weigh on the demand outlook for the commodity.
