Push to delay ASX diversity rules until 2026
Key members of the ASX’s governance advisory council will push to delay until next year contentious proposals that would require the directors of listed companies to disclose personal characteristics such as sexuality and whether they have a disability.
ASX Corporate Governance Council chairwoman Elizabeth Johnstone has summoned the chief executives from the 19 business, investor and superannuation groups that make up the council to a meeting in Sydney on Friday, to try to reach a compromise in a year-long stand-off over the plan.
