New York | Oracle founder Larry Ellison has acquired a $US1 billion ($1.4 billion) stake in Tesla, making him the carmaker's second-biggest individual investor after his close friend Elon Musk.
The holding was confirmed in a regulatory filing on Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT), less than two weeks after Mr Ellison joined Tesla's board. Shares of the company slid 2 per cent to $US328.40 in late-morning trade in New York.
