Ex-L1 fundie catches big fish with rival long-short strategy

When Lev Margolin selected Challenger as one of his first stock picks at Melbourne hedge fund L1 Capital in 2009, he couldn’t have known the financial services firm would be the first investor in his own strategy 15 years later.
Challenger’s $100 billion funds management arm Fidante has taken a minority stake in Margolin’s System Capital and will exclusively distribute his Global Long-Short Fund.
