Citadel’s Ken Griffin ‘very anxious’ about Trump tariffs
Billionaire hedge fund titan Ken Griffin said he was anxious about Donald Trump’s potential tariff policies, but that the US economy was going back to “the business of business” now that he was returning to the White House.
Speaking at the Oxford Union in the UK on Monday, the Citadel founder called tariffs – a central tenet of Trump’s economic agenda – a “long, slippery slope” that could be profitable in the short run but damaging to US companies’ ability to compete globally in the long run.
