RBA opens a window for the PM, but will he take the chance?

Anthony Albanese may seek to capitalise on Tuesday’s rate cut with a March 29 election, but he could also decide that it is not enough to sway voters.

By cutting interest rates on Tuesday, albeit reluctantly, the Reserve Bank of Australia has opened a window for Anthony Albanese.

The question is whether he’ll jump through it before it closes by calling a snap election for March 29, or push ahead with a later election in April or May replete with spending promises.
