AustralianSuper makes $2.2b bet on US data centres, AI

Australia’s biggest superannuation fund is pouring $2.2 billion into US data centre company DataBank, riding the artificial intelligence megatrend that has propelled returns and fuelled bidding wars between pension funds and private equity giants.
It is AustralianSuper’s first move into the US data centre market. Its participation represents the majority of a nearly $3 billion equity raise by the American business.
