We have suffered reputational damage from bond scandal: ANZ boss

ANZ chief executive Shayne Elliott says he and senior executives will lose their bonuses because evidence of systemic misconduct on its Sydney trading floor has inflicted significant “reputational damage” on the bank.

“People are asking questions about the way we do business and treat customers – that is hurting our reputation,” Mr Elliott told a parliamentary hearing on Friday. “We have suffered reputational damage. That is on me. I accept that there will be consequences.”
