Authorities have removed the tent city that sprang up to shelter homeless immigrants in the civic park in front of Denver’s state capitol building. The problem is not solved – just less visible in such a symbolically significant area.
Like New York, Denver is a self-declared “sanctuary city” – pledged to provide accommodation and assistance to illegal immigrants.
