When Kim Krogh Andersen took the role of group head of product and technology at Telstra three-and-a-half years ago, he arrived with a simple message: artificial intelligence needed to be embedded throughout the group’s strategy.
The Danish-born executive has been playing around with ChatGPT since the middle of 2018, when the first version was released. But even he is taken aback by the sheer speed of development, which has seen ChatGPT go from handling 170 parameters to 175 billion parameters in its third version.
