Mitchell Taylor sent about 15 per cent of his wine exports to China before heavy trade sanctions were imposed two years ago.

Forced to diversify by exporting to other Asian countries to claw back sales, the chief executive of Taylor’s Wines, one of Australia’s largest privately owned wine groups, was cautious and optimistic about Foreign Minister Penny Wong’s visit to Beijing on Wednesday.
