Hines plans 60,000sq m office tower at 600 Collins

US-based real estate investor and landlord Hines has tapped architects WilkinsonEyre and Architectus for a 60,000-square-metre office building that will be Collins Street’s first new commercial tower to be designed in the pandemic.

The building, to be known as 600 Collins, takes over the site Hines acquired in 2020 from developer Landream for just over $200 million, and counts on amending the existing residential-and-hotel approval into one for a 180-metre premium office tower.
