Leading Australian tech investors, company founders and industry groups have urged greater investment in solutions to the country’s skills shortage, and changes to some incentive schemes to foster industry growth, ahead of an election campaign they suspect may pass them by.

With the pandemic response, climate change and international conflicts shaping as major issues, few expect tech and innovation industry policy to loom large in the upcoming election campaign.
