PM shrugs off criticism he is politicising national security

Scott Morrison has adopted John Howard’s catch-cry from the 2001 “khaki campaign” as he shrugs off criticism about politicising national security and doubles down on his claim that Anthony Albanese is China’s candidate of choice.

With Russian troops massed on the Ukrainian border, and China, which has designs on Taiwan, conspicuously silent, Mr Morrison counselled against changing government “in these uncertain times”.
