A wall of private and corporate capital chasing both capital city drinking holes and taverns in booming regional towns has turned the pub sector, one of the hardest hit by the pandemic, into one of the hottest real estate markets in the country.

After a record-breaking 2021 financial year, when $1.5 billion of venues changed hands according to specialist agency HTL Property, the pace of deals has not slowed down this financial year.
