Better reporting needed to boost gender pay progress

Requiring a wider range of organisations to report progress on pay equity between men and women would harness the full potential of laws designed to close the gap, according to a plan by Australian National University researchers.
As former prime minister Julia Gillard described gender equality as “an urgent economic goal”, new reports from King’s College London and ANU have recommended publishing more data from employers, as well as enforcement of minimum standards.
