Young Sydneysiders drive demand for 30,000 more AstraZeneca doses

NSW health authorities have asked the federal government for an additional 30,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in just three days, as more younger Australians take up the jab.
The demand comes as vaccination commander Lieutenant General John Frewen said on Monday the push to achieve a country-wide full vaccination rate of above 70 per cent among eligible adults would require a pivot in the rollout to target “key transmissibility groups”.
