Tech-driven approach best way to avoid climate talks collapse: Taylor

Energy minister Angus Taylor told his Group of 20 counterparts that Australia’s technology-driven approach to climate change was the best way to avoid November’s highly anticipated Glasgow summit collapsing into another fight between rich and developing nations.

At a meeting of G20 climate ministers late last week in Italy – ahead of a G20 leaders’ summit in October and the UN’s COP26 the following month – Mr Taylor joined via video link and said developing technologies to provide cheaper energy should happen “as soon as possible”.
