Independent travel agent Michael West is preparing to do what every employer dreads: sacking their staff.
The end of the government’s $90 billion JobKeeper scheme on Sunday means the West’s Sydney-based business, which had been running profitably for more than 10 years before COVID-19 struck, just cannot hold on to employees. Revenues are still down 94 per cent.
