Australia needs to complete as many as 190,000 injections per day to achieve herd immunity from the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and stay ahead of deadly virus variants, a leading epidemiologist warns.
World Health Organisation expert adviser and University of NSW academic Mary-Louise McLaws called on the Morrison government to look to successful vaccination strategies in countries including Israel and slammed public health failures in the US and UK.
