New vaccine doubles optimism, but no dancing in the streets yet

The two leading vaccine candidates for COVID-19 have now backed each other up, fuelling optimism about protection against the virus, but their data is preliminary and their trials have a way to go.

"It's very exciting but there are major caveats," said Tony Cunningham, director of the Centre for Virus Research at Westmead Institute for Medical Research and the University of Sydney.
