Every facility in Australia's aged care sector should be subject to an urgent audit of preparedness for the COVID-19 pandemic, the country’s top doctors say.

Australian Medical Association vice-president and aged care practitioner Chris Moy said the existing “tick a box” method of protections for vulnerable residents was not sufficient.
