Attorney-General Christian Porter said there was nothing untoward about him sitting in on a telephone call last week between Scott Morrison and NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller concerning Energy Minister Angus Taylor.
In doing so, Mr Porter attacked his opposition counterpart Mark Dreyfus for initiating the police investigation into Mr Taylor, saying it was the eighth time Mr Dreyfus had requested the police investigate a political opponent.
