Michelle Kvello takes a light-touch approach to interstate work travel – check the weather and pack only carry-on. Overseas travel with the family, however, is a more complex affair, involving multiple spreadsheets, colour-coded packing cubes for each family member, and trolleys of check-in luggage.
The Sydney-based consultant, who acts as a part-time chief financial officer for clients via her advisory firm Lantern Partners, travels interstate once a month, usually for a night or two, and internationally up to three times a year, on trips that can last for one month.
