Homecoming Aussies increase tempo of airport arrivals

Returning Australians were the largest single group among the 272,340 people who arrived at airports in February, the highest number since border restrictions were imposed in March 2020, but around 1.25 million fewer than two years earlier.

Australian Bureau of Statistics data revealed that 112,780 Australians returned home in February, with most arriving from Fiji, the US and India.
