This cruise delivers plenty of Kimberley surprises, from a pop-up tidal cocktail tavern to untrodden Adele Island.
Seated on the edge of an inflatable Zodiac boat, my small group is chugging across milky turquoise water into a sheltered cove on Bigge Island. I’m dressed in the standard expedition gear: shoes for a “wet landing” and self-inflating lifejacket.
But I have no idea where I’m going, or why. Unusually, today’s activity is a surprise.
