Why MasterChef’s Melissa Leong blew up her life
The TV host got her job by leaning into opportunities and asking, “Why not me?” It’s a philosophy that might nab her the Gold Logie this weekend.

MasterChef co-host Melissa Leong has spent the past week in Thailand, at the Chiva-Som resort, “getting all those nutrients your body needs”. But she is happy to be back in Melbourne, her adopted hometown since 2016. “I made cacio e pepe [cheese and pepper pasta] last night,” she says. “I needed butter.”
