Andrew Majzner could hardly believe his eyes. He was pacing up and down the supermarket aisles looking for flour when he realised why he couldn’t find it. There wasn’t any. The shelves had been stripped.

“Wow. I never thought I would see that in my lifetime,” says the Melbourne-based designer and amateur baker behind the Instagram account I Baked It Myself. “It was like wartime. There wasn’t any sugar either.”
