In another life, designers JJ Martin and Adam Brown might have gone into business together. Martin is the owner and creative director at La DoubleJ, an Italian womenswear brand that celebrates la dolce vita through kaleidoscopic prints and linen that begs to be taken to sunnier climes. Brown is the brains behind Orlebar Brown, the British resortwear brand – partly owned by Chanel – that changed the way men dress for their holidays.

“Our customer is married to his customer,” says Martin. “Yes,” agrees Brown, “our customers definitely know each other.”
