Luxury department store Harrolds is back from the dead

After closing suddenly in 2024, the department store lives to see another day.

Less than a year after it collapsed owing more than $16 million to local and global fashion brands, luxury department store Harrolds is back from the dead.

The store, which opened in 1985 on Collins Street in Melbourne, had expanded to Sydney, Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast and an online store, but in October last year closed without notice, leaving nearly 300 staff without jobs.
