Most founders celebrate 25 years in business with a shindig or a well-earned break. Saskia Havekes, by contrast, is marking the occasion by releasing a self-titled perfume.
“It’s a replication of what the shop smells like,” says Havekes, referring to her floristry operation, Grandiflora, in Potts Point. The perfume’s top note is gardenia, Grandiflora’s signature bloom; beneath it, there’s a note of petrichor, the distinctive scent produced when rain falls on dry soil.
