Elfin Sports Cars, founded in suburban Adelaide in the late 1950s, might be the closest thing this country has ever produced to the legendary English racing car and sports car company Lotus.

It designed and built innovative, race-winning open wheelers and sports cars, and pumped out a small number of street machines. In the early 2000s, Elfin attracted attention around the world with elegant, V8-powered, road-registrable Streamliner and Clubman models.
